Engagements Rings
Engagement rings are an expression of love.
Traditionally Men have proposed marriage by offering the girl
or woman a ring and if the woman accepts she is expressing
her wish to spend the rest of her life with the man whose
ring she wears. In the past manmy different rings have worn
as engagement rings and the choice was usually according to
the wealth of the man. In the recent past the diamond ring
has become the acceptable engagement ring with the solitaire
diamond ring, arguably, the most popular choice, but for a
man to decide he is going to propose to the womqn he loves
with a solitaire diamond ring is the beginning of a series
of difficult and often impossible, to the inexperienced eye,
choices. The cut of the diamond, the size of the diamond,
the clarity of the diamond and the colour... Jewellers make
a huge fuss about the diamond 4 C's, but the two most important
C's are Carat and Colour. Size and colour are immediately
apparent, whilst for clarity you will need a microscope, or
at least a magnifying glass, and the cut is simply a matter
of personal choice. We suggest finding our what the intended
wearer of the diamond rings favourite cut is and that is one
decision made. The size of the diamond will depend upon the
size of the buyer's wallet, but do be aware that when the
size gets to one carat the price leaps up considerably, so
why not keep the size just below? Unless, of course, you are
fabulously wealthy, in which case go for a serious rock, but
it is best not to buy a diamond so big she is dragging her
knuckles on the floor because it weighs a ton!!! ;)
